Eller honored CBRE, the global leader in real estate services and investment, at a small gathering on June 11. The event celebrated CBRE’s support of the Dean’s Lininger Conference Room in McClelland Hall. CBRE’s Tucson office has made a donation to underwrite the conference room’s state-of-the-art audio and visual technology.

“CBRE is honored to invest in the business leaders of tomorrow through the Eller College of Management,” said CBRE’s Nancy McClure. A first vice president specializing in retail brokerage services, McClure serves on the Eller College of Management’s National Board of Advisors. “As a company that also prides itself on innovation, top-tier talent, an entrepreneurial-friendly mindset and corporate and social responsibility, it’s important that we support those institutes whose initiatives and values align with ours.”

“CBRE is a wonderful partner to the UA and Eller,” said Len Jessup, dean and Halle Chair in Leadership with the Eller College. “Nancy in particular has been an active member of our board executive committee, where she has provided valuable strategic insight.”

The Eller College of Management’s National Board of Advisors is a network of alumni, supporters, and friends of the College who play a vital role in resource development, communications, and policy. Members and their organizations provide input and expertise, donate money and equipment, offer internships and jobs, host site visits and class projects, and underwrite scholarships and faculty research. Board members visit the College regularly to attend Board meetings and participate in student-focused events.

“The University of Arizona is a driving force in our local and state economy. As one of the top public universities in the country, U of A – and Eller – is focused on serving Arizona’s ever-growing population to create a deep, well-educated workforce,” said Ike Isaacson, managing director of CBRE’s Tucson office and UA alumnus. “Additionally, higher education systems like the U of A create diversified economic drivers in the form of a state university system that engages and supports growing industry clusters. It’s always a good feeling when we can give back to an institution that does so much for the economic development of the community.”

The Eller and CBRE – Tucson teams gathered in the dean’s suite June 13 to celebrate their partnership.
